Job Description:
Leading multidisciplinary teams on major development projects, you will be responsible for developing mechanical designs for a range of products and processes in the consumer, medical, healthcare, industrial and clean tech sectors. Your challenge is to solve some of the most intractable of clients problems. In return your ingenuity will be rewarded with the satisfaction of seeing your ground-breaking new creations launched in the market, making a real difference.
Requirements:
Suitable candidates for the role of Senior Consultant Mechanical Engineer will need to have:
- An excellent 1st or 2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Track record of project leadership and client management skills
- Strong creative and technical abilities in many of the following areas:
Concept generation; System design; Engineering analysis and detail design; 3D CAD; Prototyping and lab testing; Materials selection; Analysis of static, dynamic, fluid or thermodynamic systems; Design for high and low manufacturing; Design for high reliability
- At least 8 years experience in one of the following commercial environments: Technical/consultancy; technology start-up; new product development
- Strong drive to develop further technical, project leadership, and business development skills.
